Iran's nuclear deal will be studied under the supervision of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Islamic Republic Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said.

"Lawmakers should not be worried about that. All decisions which have been taken in this regard will be expedient and related reports will be presented to the parliament," MP Iraj Abdi quoted Larijani as saying, Iran's Fars news agency reported on July 26.

"Studying the nuclear issue falls within the area of responsibility of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Larijani said, adding however a special commission will be formed in the parliament to review the nuclear deal parallel with the national security commission.

Iranian MPs have approved a proposal to form a special parliamentary commission to investigate the nuclear deal reached between Iran and the P5+ 1(US, Russia, China, France, UK, and Germany) in Vienna on July 14.

However the decision was criticized by some lawmakers.

Following the deal, the members of the UN Security Council unanimously passed a resolution on July 20, endorsing the deal.

Iranian conservative MPs have already opposed some parts of the nuclear deal, in particular maintaining military sanctions on the Islamic Republic under the deal.
