Iran says no Arab government under Tehran’s rein

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that Iran highly respects the Arab governments and has no domination over them.

Speaking to reporters in Tunisia, he said that the Islamic Republic regards the Arab people are very dignified and believes that the Arab nations have rein over their own governments.

He further said the International Criminal Court must discharge its obligation to bring to justice the Israeli leaders for the crimes against humanity they perpetrated against Palestinians, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported Sept. 1.

The idea of Iranophobia promoted by the Israel is now failed and the Israeli government should be accountable before the ICC for war crimes against people of Palestine and Lebanon and under no circumstances can hide the crimes, Zarif said.

'We do call our Arab brothers and sisters to do their utmost to reveal atrocities of Israel as their sole enemy in the region,' Zarif said.

Zarif arrived in Tunis on Aug. 31 and was welcomed by Tunisian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Tahami al-Abd Vali.

After Tunisia, Zarif is to visit Algeria in the next leg of his regional tour.
