By Fatih Karimov - Trend:

Deputy Commander of Iran 's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Hussein Salami said regardless of any deal, the US will be considered as the archenemy of the country and the Islamic world.

Addressing a military drill in Tehran on Sept 3, Salami noted that Iran managed to force those who apparently ruling the world affairs, to change their stance towards the Islamic Republic, state IRINN TV reported.

He went on to say that regardless of any deal, Iran would continue its support for the oppressed nations in the region in their struggle against the US.

The Islamic Republic and the P5+1 (US, Russia, China, France, UK, and Germany) achieved a final accord in July 14, curbing Iran's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of most international sanctions.

The deal is considered a big achievement for the main sides of the dispute, Tehran and Washington. The two opposing sides have achieved an important agreement, a first, after 33 years of hostility began in 1979 when Iranians overthrew the country's last king, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and closest ally of the US in the region.

Starting direct negotiations with US-the "Great Satan," as it is referred to in Iran- was itself a big step for the Islamic Republic.
