The Islamic Republic is ready to take part in regional dialogue, Iran 's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said.

" Tehran is always ready to be involved in serious dialogue and cooperation with the regional countries, Amir Abdollahian said, Iran 's state IRINN TV reported Oct. 8.

The Iranian top diplomat made the remarks while reacting to recent statements of Kuwaiti acting Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah about readiness of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) members to hold dialogue with the Islamic Republic based on international laws and non-interference.

"We are ready for dialogue and understanding with Iran because the GCC member-states believe that there are always the grounds ready for cooperation with the neighboring country of Iran and we hope that this dialogue and negotiations will be started for further establishment of security and stability in the region," the Kuwaiti official said Oct. 7.

Amir Abdollahian said Iran pays great attention to positive statements of the senior officials of Kuwait and Qatar. There is no choice, but dialogue considering the current sensitive situation in the region, the Iranian top diplomat added.

Boosting all out cooperation with regional countries is Iran 's principle strategy, Amir Abdollahian underlined.

"We expect that all regional countries to deeply understand the threat of terrorism and extremism and take steps towards dialogue, cooperation, focusing on political solutions and stopping war," he said.

He further called on the regional states for a "decisive fight against terrorism".

Iran has opposite points of view and positions with some regional countries, in particular with Saudi Arabia on conflicts in Yemen, Syria, and Bahrain.
