By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) will use all its capabilities to defend the country if it gets involved in any probable war.
Lieutenant Commander of the IRGC Brigadier General Hossein Salami said that the country should be prepared to deal with direct and indirect wars, Fars news agency reported Oct. 28.
"Just those countries which have necessary capabilities to continue wars can survive. Most of wars were not predictable and preventable. The Islamic Republic of Iran will never be a follower of any foreign state."
Referring to the fact that the US has set up military bases in 22 Islamic nations, he said the US and Israel have so far launched attacks on 14 Islamic countries from these bases.
War is still the most important political tool for world powers, he added.
