The European Parliament President Martin Schulz will pay a one-day official visit to Iran November 7, the Iranian parliament's official ICANA news agency reported Oct. 31.
Heading a parliamentary delegation Schulz is scheduled to meet with senior Iranian officials including President Hassan Rouhani, Speaker Ali Larijani, foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and head of Iranian parliament's research center Kazem Jalali.
Schulz, who is a German politician heads the EU Parliament since 2014. Previously he was leader of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament.
Iran and the P5+1 (US, Russia , China , France , UK , and Germany ) announced a final accord last July, after several months of talks, curbing Iran 's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of most international sanctions.
Following the deal Iran 's former trade partners have started dispatching delegations to Tehran to study cooperation in the post-sanctions period.
