Iranian security forces have killed five members of a PJAK (Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan) terrorist group in northwestern Iran, IRNA news agency reported citing public relations office of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
The report added that a considerable amount of weapons were seized following the operation.
According to the report, the members of the group had earlier conducted assaults against people in the region, going as far as killing three members of local Basij forces (militia).
It should be noted that PJAK members are regularly targeted by Iranian forces in northwestern Iran.
