Chairman of Majlis Commission on Foreign Policy and National Security Alaeddin Borujerdi said on Sunday that anti-revolutionary terrorists carried assassination bid against MP from Islamabad-Gharb abd Dalahu on Sunday, IRNA reported.
The terrorist operation had been already planned by the anti-revolutionary terrorists, he said.
Following the terrorist operation against the passing car of the member of parliament from Islamabad Gharb and Dalahu, he said the interior ministry should swiftly clean up the region from terrorists.
In a telephone call with Majlis representative from Islamabad Gharb and Dalahu Falahat Pisheh, he said he had only sustained minor injuries and he is in good health condition but unfortunately, two accompanying people were killed instantly and Dalahu governor sustained injuries.
It seems, the terrorists were chasing his car but immediately after they noticed that he was in another car, they fired with machinegun to kill him, he said.
'I would like to express my condolences to the families of the victims and hope that the security forces and the officials at the interior ministry to seriously deal with those criminals and bring them all to justice,' he said.
