President Hassan Rouhani said on Monday that Iran is ready to open a new chapter in Tehran-Sofia ties, IRNA reported.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
Bulgaria can become a bridge for linking Iran to the European countries, Rouhani said.
He referred to the historical and deep cultural ties between Iranian and Bulgarian people and said that these commonalities pave the way for consolidation of relations between Iran and Bulgaria.
Iranian and Bulgarian governments are committed to enhance all-out ties, Rouhani said.
