Two senior Iranian officials have called off their scheduled meetings with the visiting German Economy Minister Sigmar Gabriel.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani cancelled their meetings with the German minister on Oct. 4, Tasnim news agency reported.
The Iranian officials, so far, have not given any reasons for calling off their meetings.
Gabriel, who is on a two-day visit to Tehran aimed at boosting business ties, had earlier stressed the need for reforms in the Islamic Republic.
Ahead of his Tehran visit, the German also urged Iran to normalize ties with Israel.
