Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has extended his congratulations to the Lebanese people on the election of Michel Aoun as Lebanon’s president.
A couple of hours ago Lebanon's parliament elected Michel Aoun as president, ending a political stand-off that has left the post empty for more than two years.
