Baku, Azerbaijan, Dec. 14

By Khalid Kazimov – Trend:

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, have discussed the latest developments in the Syrian devastated city of Aleppo.

Iranian and Turkish ministers exchanged views on establishing ceasefire and delivering humanitarian aids to the city of Aleppo as well as other Syrian cities on a telephone conversation in the afternoon on Dec. 14, IRNA news agency reported citing Foreign Ministry of Iran.

Reuters earlier on the same day reported that Turkey held talks with Russia and Iran to try to ensure ceasefire in Aleppo.

The ceasefire, brokered on Tuesday by Turkey and Russia, was supposed to allow the evacuation of rebel-held eastern Aleppo from dawn on Wednesday but has been delayed. Syrian government forces resumed shelling for about half an hour on Wednesday, the report added.
