Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb. 22

By Khalid Kazimov – Trend:

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has tested a domestically developed anti-helicopter mine named Saeqeh (Thunderbolt).

Saeqeh’s testing took place on the last day of the three-day war games dubbed Peyambar-e Azam (The Great Prophet) in the country’s central part.

According to Tasnim news agency, the anti-helicopter mines are planted on the ground and trigger as a helicopter approaches.

The mines are capable of projecting a number of small fragments to a 500-meter altitude.

The IRGC also test-fired various types of “advanced rockets”, including smart and guided ones on the first day of the drills on Feb. 20.
