Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has called for cooperation between scholars and states in order to resolve global issues.
“Resolution of complicated problems of the world requires cooperation between governments and scholars,” Iranian government’s official news website quoted President Rouhani as saying at a meeting with lecturers and students of the Lomonosov Moscow State University on March 28.
He further spoke about extremism and urged for a global will to fight terrorism.
Rouhani arrived in Moscow on March 27 on a two-day visit at the official invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
The presidents are slated to meet later in the day to discuss bilateral and international issues.
According to media reports, the sides are expected to ink about 10 documents on cooperation.
