The Chairman of Iran's Culture and Islamic Communications Organization Abuzar Ibrahimi Turkman will visit Baku, the head of the culture center at Iran's Embassy in Azerbaijan, Ibrahim Ibrahimi told Trend Dec. 1.
Ibrahimi said that Turkman is to visit Baku on Dec. 3 at an invitation from the Chairman of Azerbaijan's State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli.
During his two-day visit, Turkman will meet with Gurbanli, as well as the Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Allahshukur Pashazadeh, the Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev and the Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, Ibrahimi said.
He noted that the meetings will focus on discussion of the signing of a document on enhancing cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan in culture, as well as the issues regarding the drafting of a protocol on development of cooperation in the sphere of religion.
Ibrahimi said the relations between Azerbaijan and Iran are developing solidly, especially after the visits of the presidents.
Turkman's visit will create a basis for development of cultural ties between the two countries, Ibrahimi added.
