Three men accused of murdering a 12-year-old girl were publicly executed in the Iranian city of Bonab in the morning of January 19, Iran's Mehr News agency reported Jan. 21.
Three men kidnapped 12-year-old Zahra Bedihi and demanded a ransom from her parents in the amount of 1.5 million euros in September 2014, the city prosecutor Saeed Qasimivend said.
However, two days later, they feared that the crime will be solved. They killed the hostage and hid her body in the house of one of the criminals.
The police detained the criminals and the court sentenced them to death.
The criminals were executed on one of the city squares of Bonab on Jan. 19, the prosecutor said.
