Teachers have been on strike in various regions of Iran to protest against poor living conditions, the Iranian news agency ILNA reported Jan. 22.
Over the past two days the teachers have been on strike in the cities of Eslamshahr, Robat Karim, Karaj, Shiraz, Shahrood, Saqqez, Bane and Marivan refusing to conduct classes in schools.
In the past two days, hundreds of teachers gathered in front of education departments in the cities of Shahrood and Marivan, protesting against the harsh living conditions, poor quality of insurance services and a small budget of education.
