Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) rejected having hand in artillery shell firing incident in Iran 's central Isfahan city.

The IRGC Spokesman Brigadier General Ramadan Sharif said that none of the IRGC units have held military exercise and no artillery shell was fired by IRGC, Iran 's Tasnim news agency reported June 11.

Sharif also criticized media that have published the information.

Two artillery shells hit a park in Isfahan city's southern area where military units from the army and IRGC were deployed on June 10.

No one was killed in the incident, however some Iranian media outlets reported that the explosions have left some people injured.

The public relation department of the Isfahan governor's office announced that an expert team is formed to investigate the incident.

Iran's army has also sent a fact-finding group to Isfahan for investigating the issue.
