An explosion of military-grade artillery shell in a scrap metal reprocessing plant left one dead in Iran 's northeastern Mashhad city. One person also was injured in the incident.
The explosion took place on June 14, while workers in the plant were cutting the shell for reprocessing.
Ali Mohammad Golestanifar, the Mashahd city governor said that the incident is under investigation, Iran 's Fars news agency reported June 15.
There is no security problem in connection with the incident, Golestanifar said, adding the incident is being investigated to discover what entity the military-grade shells belonging to.
