A shootout occurred between the two clans in the Iranian province of Khuzestan earlier. Some 125 people were arrested, Kodakaram Rahimi, the prosecutor of the Iranian province of Khuzestan, said, the prosecutor's office of the province said.
"As a result, some 10 people died and dozens of people were injured," he said.
"Taking into account the large number of victims as a result of the shooting, some 125 people were detained," he said. "The investigation is underway."
"Among the victims are children, women and old people," he said.
The prosecutor said that the clans have continued clashing over a land dispute for a long time.
Earlier, a skirmish was observed between the representatives of two clans in the Iranian province of Khuzestan.
The police and the security forces were on the scene.
