The Tehran forensic office has announced that some 259 people died as a result of the work-related incidents in the first nine months of the current Iranian fiscal year (since March 21).

The report says that the toll hits 28.8 percent less than that of the same period of last year, ILNA news agency reported January 31.

Some 257 of the said number were men and two were women, according to the report.
