An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale shook Iran's south-western province of Khuzestan on May 25 morning.
Mostafa Mortazavi, an official with the Iranian Red Crescent, said the earthquake occurred in the Qaleh Tall County in Khuzestan Province 10:23 local time (GMT+4:30), IRINN reported.
There was no immediate report about possible destructions or fatalities, but Mortazavi said several groups have been dispatched to the region to estimate the possible damages.
