Tehran, Iran, June 18

France and Italy are very much interested in opening medical schools in Iran, the country’s Health Minister Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi said.
However, he said the logical grounds of a foreign university opening a branch in Iran were vague to him, Mehr reported June 18.
“First, we have to see what good that would do to Iran. Also, for a foreign university to open a branch in Iran should fall within the regulations of the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council and the parliament,” the health minister said.
