Iran’s Research Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics of Maragha and Batabat Astrophysical Observatory in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
The MoU envisages expansion of cooperation between the two observatories, as well as exchanging academic delegations and conducting scientific research, the PR office of Iran's consulate general in Nakhchivan reported.
Commenting on the issue, Iran’s Consul General to Nakhchivan Mansour Airom expressed hope that the MoU would boost cooperation between the two countries in scientific field.
