A helicopter in Iran came crashing down into a lake near Tehran on Dec. 6, IRNA news agency reported.
The head of Tehran Disaster Mitigation and Management Organization (TDMMO), Ahmad Sadeqi, has said that the helicopter crashed into the Chitgar Lake in northwestern Tehran at 11:40 local time (GMT+3:30).
No casualties have, so far, been reported.
Sadeqi said that the cause of the incident was not clear and the officials
were still in the middle of investigation. He further added that the
helicopter’s nine passengers were rescued.
The rescuers have taken the required measures to pull the wreckage of the helicopter out of the lake, he added.
The report said that the helicopter belonged to Iran's Helicopter Renovation and Logistics Company (PANHA) was on a test flight.
