No citizens of Azerbaijan among dead and injured in crash of Nevsky Express - Consulate General

There are not any citizens of Azerbaijan among the dead and injured in the crash of the train of "Nevsky Express", the press-service of Azerbaijani Consulate General in St. Petersburg told Trend .

"Novruz Babayev, the only Azerbaijani injured in train crash, is a citizen of Russia", said in the Consulate General.

Earlier on Saturday, St. Petersburg Governor Valentina Matvienko said that St. Petersburg hospital received three foreigners - a Belgian, an Italian and a citizen of Azerbaijan.

As Trend was told in the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Saint Petersburg, a group of employees of the Consulate is going to visit the injured Novruz Babayev on Sunday.

According to information, the Consul General Gudsy Osmanov will visit the hospital on Monday.

Twenty-five people were killed, 26 missing after the crash of train Moscow-St Petersburg on 27 November, said the head of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Sergey Shoygu on Sunday.

The Nevsky Express travelling from Moscow to St. Petersburg derailed in Novgorod on Friday.

The criminal case was filed on the articles 205 (terror act) and 222 (illegal turnover of explosives) of the Russian Criminal Code.
