Brigades of Azerbaijan's ministry of emergency situations evacuate people hitched on snow-covered roads

The brigades of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan from 17.00 on Feb. 5 have started rescue operations to evacuate the drivers and passengers of vehicles stayed on the roads of the country as a result of snowfall and icing, the Ministry reported.

During this time, were rescued over 80 people in the Mushvigabad village across Baku-Shamakhi highway, from 40-km route, 40 people were evacuated and taken to Baku, and 42 people taken to Shamakhi. Currently, work is underway to save other 30 people.

106 people were evacuated on the Hovsan-Zich highway on Saturday morning.

66 people were evacuated from Mardakan highway and in Pirallahi settlement. Further measures are taken to save other 50 people.
