An alternative road to the Muganli-Ismailli Highway will open today, Ismailli City Executive Deputy and Regional Emergency Situations Commission head Rafael Ahmadov told Trend . Specialists are paving a new road.
A landslide Feb. 10 hit the second kilometer of the Muganli-Ismailli Highway. The landslide destroyed an area of 500 meters with a width of 12 meters, leaving fractures with a depth of 1-3 meters.
The road links Baku to the northwestern regions of Azerbaijan.
