An alternative road to the Muganli-Ismailli Highway has been opened today, Ismailli City Executive Deputy and Regional Emergency Situations Commission head Rafael Ahmadov told Trend . Traffic was restored.
A landslide Feb. 10 hit the second kilometer of the Muganli-Ismailli Highway. The landslide destroyed an area of 500 meters with a width of 12 meters, leaving fractures with a depth of 1-3 meters. The calamity damaged neither car nor people.
The road links Baku to the northwestern regions of Azerbaijan.
This site prone to landslides, and they occur quite often in autumn-winter due to the precipitation
