A blast took place in the petrochemical plant named after Imam Khomeini in the Khuzestan Province in Iran, as a result of which one died, eleven people injured. Eight of them are treated in the Mahshahr Hospital, while 3 people's health state is serious, so they have been taken to Tehran Hospital, Mehr news agency reported.

A blast took place in the petrochemical plant named after Imam Khomeini in the Khuzestan Province in Iran, as a result of which one died, eleven people injured. Eight of them are treated in the Mahshahr Hospital, while 3 people's health state is serious, so they have been taken to Tehran Hospital, Mehr news agency reported.

Earlier ILNA news agency reported that the blast killed one, injured six people.

According to the information, the blast took place during welding operations in the plant as a result of gas leakage.

Three injured peoples' health state is serious. They were delivered to Tehran Hospital by a special airplane. Other injured peoples' health state is satisfactory, the agency reported earlier.
