Azerbaijan has detained a person involved in medicine smuggling.
Azerbaijani citizen Anar Mustafayev has been detained as a result of operative measures, the National Security Ministry's official website reported today.
It was found that Mustafayev, without state registration and license, entering into a criminal conspiracy with wanted Azerbaijani, Turkish and Iranian citizens, illegally imported medicine worth more than 53,000 manat into Azerbaijan from Turkey and Iran.
During an inspection of his Mercedes and the apartment where he lives, a large batch of medicine worth more than 53,000 manat was found and seized.
The National Security Ministry's Chief Investigation Department has opened a criminal case into the incident.
