An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale jolted the Iranian North Khorasan Province last night, IRAN news agency reported.
According to the Seismological Centre at the Tehran University's Geophysics Institute, the earthquake took place at 20:56 (local time).
Several houses in villages adjacent to the town of Isfirayn were damaged and some houses were affected as a result of the earthquake. No injuries are reported.
