Two people detained in connection with collision of train and bus in Azerbaijan

Two people are detained within the criminal case filed on the train and a passenger bus collision occurred in Azerbaijan on Friday and led to casualties, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic said.

As noted in the report Ismailov Ayyub (under Article 262.3 "Violation of safety rules and operation of railway transport"), who was on duty at the crossing and Daewoo bus driver Agayev Farid (under Article 263.3 "Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles") were detained.

Prosecutor General's Office also issued a list of those killed and injured in this incident.

1. Tahir Najafguliyev (born in 1965)

2. Nizami Shahbazov (born in 1973)

3. Azer Aliyev (born in 1980)

4. Rafail Khalilov (born in 1978)

5. Metanet Iskenderova (born in 1966)

6. Yagut Aliyeva (born in 1957)

The traffic accident occurred at 07:25 on the stretch of Putah - Heybat. The train following on route Agstafa - Baku collided with DAEWOO bus (license number 10-TF-427) at secured crossing.
