Details of helicopter emergency landing in Kazakhstan provided

Bell 206L3 BL007 helicopter, owned by ZHERSU AVIA, operating the Burunday - Karaozek flight, made an emergency landing near the village Bakanas of Almaty region, the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan said on Friday.

"Upon landing on an uneven icy surface, the helicopter tipped over on its side, resulting in damaging the blades and glazing. The pilot and three passengers aboard were not injured. There were two citizens of Ukraine among the passengers," the press office said.

Specialists from the aircraft accident and incident investigation department under the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications have arrived at the scene.

Information on the causes the incident will be announced after completion of the investigation.

Technical maintenance of the Bell 206L3 BL007 helicopter, according to the Committee of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, was held on May 15, 2012. Certificate of Airworthiness is valid until June 5, 2013. From the beginning of operation, helicopter's total flight time was over 6,200 hours.
