An explosion occurred in the business center located on the ground floor of a ten-storey building in one of the central districts of Tashkent on the evening of April 23.
The explosion occurred due to gas leakage, the Uzbek Interior Ministry said.
The reason was improper use of gas, according to the statement.
Currently, measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences, the Interior Ministry reported.
The roads leading to the intersection of the affected building were temporarily closed in connection with the explosion.
Police, firefighters and an ambulance were on the scene.
All people from the affected building, as well as the surrounding buildings were evacuated.
Four people were injured. They were immediately hospitalized, according to unofficial reports.
Currently, the representatives of the ministry of emergency situations are operating.
The operative-investigative operations are underway.
