Joint statement on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was made in Athens

A joint statement on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was adopted on Tuesday night in Athens within the 17th meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OSCE.

The statement was made as a result of a meeting of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as foreign ministers of France, Russia and the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State.

The statement expresses support for the efforts of the leadership of Azerbaijan and Armenia to agree upon basic principles for solution based on the so-called Madrid principles.
