2010 Azerbaijan removes IDPs from student dormitories in Baku

Azerbaijan will start evicting IDPs from student dormitories in Baku this year, Ali Hasanov, Azerbaijani deputy prime minister and chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs told journalists today.

According to him, about 6,100 families, or 24,000 IDPs, are living in 60 dormitories in Baku.

"In addition, 2,836 families, or 10,000 IDPs, temporarily housed in boarding houses and sanatoria," he added.
