The representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) met with the citizens of Azerbaijan who are in captivity in Armenia.
On Jan. 21, the staff of the Armenian representation of the organization met the prisoners Anar Hajiyev, Rafig Hasanov and hostage Eldar Tagiyev and got familiarized with their conditions of detention, spokesman for the Azerbaijani representation of ICRC Gulnaz Guliyev told Trend .
Resident of the Alibayli village in the Tovuz region Tagiyev Eldar Heydar oglu (born in 1964) was taken hostage by the Armenian armed forces on Dec. 28. Lieutenant of the Azerbaijani army Anar Hajiyev was taken prisoner on May 10 last year in the direction of Fizuli.
Soldier of N military unit of Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Rafig Hasanov, born in 1989, under unknown circumstances, was captured by Armenian military people on Oct. 8, 2008 on the contact line of troops on the territory of Gazakh.
