The Armenian armed forces broke the ceasefire regime, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.
On Feb.24, the Armenian armed forces opened fire from positions outside the Vozashen village in the Ijevan region of Armenia to Azerbaijani troops in the nameless heights in the Azerbaijani Gazakh region at 23:10-23:20, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.
Further, the Armenian armed forces opened fire to Azerbaijani troops from positions outside the Sarijali and Shirvanli villages in the Agdam region at 01:00-01:20 and 02:00-02:30, as well as from positions in the nameless heights in the Fizuli region at 05:10-05:35 on Feb.25.
The Azerbaijani troops answered their fire. No causalities were reported.
The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and 7 surrounding districts.
Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Russia, France, and the U.S. - are currently holding the peace negotiations.
