Justice for Khojaly campaign published a program of events for 2012.

Several activities dedicated to the twentieth anniversary of Khojaly genocide is planned in the leading countries of the world in order to bring the truth about this tragedy to the attention of the international community, the general secretary of the Youth Forum of the Organization of Islamic Conference for dialogue and cooperation Elshad Iskandarov said at a press conference in the conference hall of the Trend.

Activities of the campaign will be held in more than 50 cities around the world and are the most widespread since the start of the campaign.

"It was affected by several factors. Recognition of Khojaly massacre as an act of genocide by the representatives of parliaments of 51 countries by the initiative of YF OIC, gives a platform for further recognition of this fact by the parliaments of the world." Iskenderov said.

Iskenderov said another factor was that the campaign of this year coincided with the 20th anniversary of Khojaly genocide, which gave a mass scale to events.
Joining of new organizations such as the Diaspora and foreign NGOs was also a factor that gave a mass scale to the events this year, Iskenderov added.

"Activities of the campaign started in the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, UAE, Ukraine (Kiev, Lugansk), as well as in several cities in Turkey on February 14. Particularly, we can highlight the completion of one year campaign in Holland, where about one million signatures on a petition to Parliament, demanding proper legal assessment of the Khojaly massacre was collected. A conference in Budapest, where the Khojaly tragedy was first considered in the aspect of legal liability, should also be noted," Iskenderov said.

The campaign will be launched in 50 cities of 35 countries from this week on, Iskenderov said.

Iskenderov noted that the monuments which perpetuate the memory of victims of Khojaly and the conflict in Bosnia will be opened in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) on February 24. At the grand opening of the act, Leyla Aliyeva, the initiator of the campaign Justice for Khojaly as well as representatives of the Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sarajevo will speak at the opening ceremony. The film "Khojaly" will be shown on the same day in the gymnasium of Dobrynya Sarajevo.

Film made by European filmmakers shot in the frame of international Peaceful Caucasus project will be shown in Moscow on Feb.28. Presentation is held at the initiative of the international Justice for Khojaly campaign and dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Khojaly tragedy.

The conferences on Khojaly tragedy will be held in the Writers' Union, as well as the Diplomatic Academy in Bucharest (Romania) on Feb. 22-29.

The informational materials about Khojaly tragedy will be distributed.

The protest rallies will be held in Ottawa (Canada) on Feb. 24 near the Parliament of the country, as well as the Armenian Embassy, accredited to this country.

It is planned to hold the events called "Khojaly Days in Germany" in Berlin (Germany) on February 23-26. The books by the German scientist Professor Kipken "Azerbaijani-Armenian relations and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict" and Canada's author Taylor "Irreconcilable contradictions: Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan" will be presented. The exhibition "Khojaly - in the eyes of children", "Aghdam - the city of ghosts" will be held. The film "We will come back" will be demonstrated.

A demonstration under the banner "We all are Khojaly people" will be held at the Taksim square in Istanbul (Turkey) on Feb. 26. It will be organized by ASAIF organization. The members of the Turkish and Azerbaijani parliaments will attend the demonstration. The activists of the Turkish branch of the campaign will be actively involved in organizing the rally.

It is planned to hold several events devoted to Khojaly massacre in Tallinn (Estonia) on Feb. 26. In particular, it is expected to hold a conference. CE former co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan and the author of the book "Azerbaijani letters" telling about the tragedy A. Herkel will deliver speech. The members of the European Parliament, representatives of embassies and the media will attend the conference.

The conference entitled "Laws of memory and unknown genocide: Example of Khojaly" will be held in the French National Assembly in Paris on Feb. 27. The French senators, MPs, academics and representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in this country are expected to attend the event.

It is planned to hold a "round table" at the Renaissance hotel in Brussels (Belgium) on Feb. 28. It will be dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy. The representatives of Belgian political parties, public and media will attend the event. Azerbaijani MP Rovshan Rzayev, Rector of the Baku Music Academy Farhad Badalbeyli, as well as witness of the Khojaly tragedy Anar Usubov will deliver speech. At the end of the event, the participants will be able to see an exhibition. The pictures of Karabakh children, reflecting the tragedies of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, will be demonstrated there.
A protest rally against the injustice committed in Khojaly will be held at the Schuman Square in front of the European Commission, the Belgian-Azerbaijan Friendship Society on the same day. The appeal to condemn this crime will be sent to the members of the European Parliament and the Belgian senators on behalf of the protesters.

It should also be stressed that the number of users supporting the campaign page on Facebook, has exceeded 30,000 people from more than 50 world countries.
These activities are carried out within the campaign "Justice for Khojaly", initiated by the General Coordinator of the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue Leyla Aliyeva. The campaign is aimed to bring the truth about the Khojaly tragedy and to achieve political and moral evaluation of the tragedy by the world community. It has been successfully implemented by hundreds of volunteers in more than 35 countries around the world.
