Despite of the fact that the taken steps for the solution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have created conditions for dissemination of Azerbaijani realities in the world, they didn't facilitate to solve it completely, vice speaker of Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (parliament) Bahar Muradova told journalists on Friday while visiting Martyrs Avenue in connection with the 20th anniversary of Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijan's Fizuli and Cabrayil regions.

Around 1,000 people became refugees and IDPs during the occupation of Fizuli and Cabrayil regions.

"Nevertheless, currently, Azerbaijan's economy, policy and military power give opportunity to take decisive measures to liberate the occupied regions. The decisiveness and willingness of the state and the Azerbaijani President is sufficient for this. The pursued policy is still focused on peaceful solution of the conflict and we hope that all methods for peaceful solution of the conflict haven't been exhausted yet," she said.

It should be noted that in connection with the 20th anniversary of the occupation of Fizuli and Cabrayil regions a group of intellectuals and war veterans visited Martyrs Avenue in Baku.

The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan.

Armenian armed forces have occupied 20 per cent of Azerbaijan since 1992, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts.

Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the U.S. are currently holding peace negotiations.

Armenia has not yet implemented the U.N. Security Council's four resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions.
