Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov received a delegation led by commander of the U.S. Transportation Command, Gen. Paul Selva, the Azerbaijani defense ministry told Trend Aug. 22.
The minister informed the guests about the situation in the region, the continuing aggressive policy of Armenia, violations of the cease-fire on the frontline, diversion of Armenian troops.
The minister expressed his satisfaction with the positive results of bilateral cooperation and the expansion of mutual ties.
The guest thanked Azerbaijan for its contribution to the operation of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF). Selva described the effective military cooperation between the parties as exemplary.
Views on other issues of bilateral cooperation were exchanged.
