Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretary Saeed Jalili will pay an official visit to Russia tomorrow, IRIBNEWS reported.

Earlier in December 2009, IAEA proposed Iran to transmit 1,200 kg, 3.5-percent enriched uranium to Russia and receive 20-percent enriched uranium from France to provide fuel for the Tehran nuclear reactor. Iran has so far not given a concrete response to this proposal.
During his visit, Jalili is expected to discuss issues concerning the purchase of missile defense system S-300 from Russia and the improvement of the Bushehr nuclear power plant.
Russia and Iran signed a $1 billion missile defense system agreement two years ago. The U.S. and Israel are concerned about the agreement, and Iran's nuclear program. They demanded from Moscow to abandon the sale of missiles to Iran.
According to Russia's media, Russia refused to sell Iran a missile defense system S-300.
Iranian-Russian contract to build the Bushehr Nuclear Station was signed in 1995 in Tehran. The contract's total value is $1 billion. The construction was supposed to finish by Jan. 8, 1999 but after 11 years the station is still not ready to open.
The Russian AtomStroyExport company is building the plant.
