Today Iran held a presentation of three new satellites-Misbah-2, Tula and Navid constructed by students. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attended the ceremony marking the National Day of the cosmos, İLNA reported.
Moreover, the country presented carrier rocket Simurg.
Ahmadinejad also visited the exhibition of Iran's space technologies.
The fourteenth day of the Bahman month (Feb. 3) was announced Iran's National Day of Space, Iranian Telecommunication Minister Rza Tagipur said earlier.
'Three new satellites are created by local specialists and aimed at implementing telecommunication connections," he added
Feb.3, 2009, Iran launched the first Umid satellite into orbit under in honor of the thirty-first anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. The satellite was brought into orbit by the Safir missile of Iranian production.
The festivities are held in Iran every year from 12-22 of month Bahman marking the anniversary of the Islamic revolution. The Fajr decade will be marked from Feb.1-12, 2010.
