Discussions on Iran's nuclear programme will be held in New York, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said earlier on Tuesday during his speech at the annual meeting of Imams leading the Friday prayers, Fars News agency reported.
He said discussions will also be held between Iran and P5+1 in New York after the talks.
"The place and date of discussions between Iran and P5+1 will be announced later. We have to leave all difficulties behind, as well as take the correct action to avoid submission," Rouhani said.
He added that Iran will not give up the right of Iranian people in the realisation of a peaceful nuclear programme.
The visit of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in New York is expected in late September.
The Iranian President will participate at the meeting of the UN General Assembly. It is expected that during this meeting Iran's official representatives will meet with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.
