On Nov. 16, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev accepted credentials of newly-appointed ambassador of Kuwait Ghassan Abdulbari al-Zawawi, AzerTAj state news agency reported.

During the conversation, the Head of State stressed that there is high-level relations between the two countries. President Ilham Aliyev recalled his successful Kuwait trip and meeting with Emir of Kuwait Sabah IV Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, expressing hope for implementation of agreements reached during the visit.
Azerbaijani leader expressed confidence that friendly relations between the two nations would continue to develop and both countries would support each other within international organizations in the future.
Al-Zawawi conveyed sheikh Sabah IV Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah`s greetings to the Azerbaijani President. He expressed assurance that Kuwait-Azerbaijan relations would continue to strengthen. He expressed hope that Azerbaijani side would support him during his diplomatic mission.
The Head of State asked Kuwaiti ambassador to pass on his greetings to the Emir of Kuwait.
