Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers and the Latvian people on the national holiday - the Day of the Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, AzerTAj state news agency reported.

"Today, relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia are on the path of dynamic development. I am sure that our regular meetings, expanding the political dialogue, will always have a positive impact on the comprehensive development of relations between the two countries, strengthening our ties in all spheres," said congratulatory message by the President Azerbaijan.

Ilham Aliyev expressed the President of Latvia his best wishes and wished good health, success in his activities, the friendly people of Latvia - stability and prosperity.

President Ilham Aliyev also sent a letter of congratulation to Omani Sultan Qaboos bin Said on his country's National Day - Birthday of the Sultan.
The Azerbaijani President expressed confidence "friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Oman will always serve the prosperity of our peoples".

President Ilham Aliyev wished Sultan Qaboos bin Said "robust health and successes in your activities", and " the freindly people of Oman peace and prosperity".
