The Azerbaijani parliament approved a bill and amendmends to the Administrative Violations Code today. Under the bill, the country will ban foreigners living illegally in the country.
"The main change relates to Article 330, which addresses foreigners residing illegally in Azerbaijan," Parliamentary Legal Policy and State Building Committee Chairman Ali Huseynov said today.
He added that the updated legislation will allow the government to expel foreigners and stateless people residing in the country without registration, unless their residence has been established on the grounds of international treaties, or fine them 300-400 manat.
