Iran welcomes the call from the Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Amre Moussa, to establish dialogue between Tehran and the Arab countries, the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told media, Iranian television IRINN said. 

"We (Iran) have good relations with the Persian Gulf's Arab states, including Oman, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan and Algeria. Turnover is at a very high level", Ahmadinejad said.

However, I do not know which Arab countries feel uneasy about Iran becoming stronger. "

In an interview with Kuwait newspaper Al-Jarida last week, the Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Amre Moussa, called on Arab countries to launch dialogue with Tehran, and put an end to Iranian interference in Arab countries' internal affairs.

Arab countries have repeatedly accused the Iranian government of interfering in Lebanese internal affairs, and support armed resistance in the Palestinian Authority.

Ahmadinejad said that a common religion, Islam, as well as national and regional interests, unites Tehran and the Arab world. Iran has never taken action to weaken these ties.

However, the Iranian President pointed out that during the presidential elections in June "information reflecting a negative position towards Iran was published by several Arab countries' media."

"We have very good relations with the Arab countries, but Iran's enemies' interfering hampers this," Ahmadinejad said. "I proposed to set up an embassy in Egypt in 2008, but my proposal was misunderstood."
