The second trial towards people, arrested during disorders after the presidential elections in Ira, was launched the city court of Tehran on August 8, Trend said with reference to Iranian information agency İLNA.
According to the Persian news agency, case of people accused of organizing and participation in disorders after the presidential elections will be considered during the trial to be launched during the process. Accused people include well-known political active members of Front's Central Council member Musharikat Ali Tajernia, Secretary General of the Organization of Iranian intellectuals and famous journalist Zeydabadi Ahmad, chairman of the youth organization supporting ex-candidate for president Mir-Hossein Mousavi, Shehabuddin Tebetebai, member of Kargozaran party and Coordinating Council of Reformers' Camps Agai Hidayat, chairman of the pre-election headquarters of ex-candidate for president Mir-Hossein Mousavi - Javad Imam.
According to information, Frenchwoman Rize and employer of the French Embassy in Tehran, Ms. Dook Afshar were among people accused during court trial on Auugst 8.
Arrested people are accused of assisting terror groups, placing of explosive devices, transportation of fire-arms, bombs, premeditated attack on police officers and volunteers, attack on universities and police stations, sending photos to foreign print connected with meeting, robbery, violation of order, causing damage to public and public property.
Iran's current president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad got 62.63 percent of votes during presidential election on June 12. His rival Mir-Hossein Mousavi got 33.75 percent. He accused authority of falsification of elections results. Actions of protest caused clashes between police and opposition. Several people died as a result of disorders.
Several western countries expressed anxiety regarding tension in Iran after elections.
